G Team focus: G Team Philippines

At Greenwood, we’re always looking for ways in which to improve our efficiency, reinforcing our aim to deliver an effortless client experience. In 2023, with this goal in mind, we established our new sales support team. Based in Manila, the bustling bay side capital city of the Philippines, the team were recruited with the goal of improving our response times to tenders from our clients, as well as assisting the sales team in various responsibilities related to client orders. For our clients, time is often of the essence, requiring swift responses to tenders and quotes in order to themselves respond to their own clients. Delivering accurate quotes in a timely manner is an important part of delivering an effortless experience. Team Philippines are there to help Greenwood do exactly that. The team are Mark Nicholas, Leo Javier, Harley Magbanua, and Genesis Ignacio. 

Mark

On a day-to-day basis, Mark manages the tenders inbox, to which our clients send their requests for quotations for projects on which they’re currently bidding. He ensures the organisation and prioritisation of the requests, ensuring that any requiring immediate attention are addressed first and foremost. Alongside this, Mark also creates and sends out quotes to our clients, ensuring quote accuracy and speedy responses to all enquiries. He enjoys challenging himself to achieve his target goal of quotes produced, and relishes in working in part of the larger team. In his spare time, Mark plays the guitar, and enjoys watching anime and spending time with his family.

Leo

As part of the team, Leo’s role is to assist with the generation of sales quotations for our clients. As a sales quotation processor, Leo deals with all kinds of different plants and projects, whether it be large-scale green facades for big companies, to smaller pocket-size gardens for clients. The aspect of the job Leo enjoys the most is being able to apply the knowledge gained about different plants into real life. Remembering their key features (and prices!). Outside of Work, Leo travels a lot, and enjoys being close to nature, and enjoys being surrounded by trees, shrubs, herbs and more.

Harley

Being the newest member of the team, Harley has certainly hit the ground running, having recently been promoted to Team Leader of the operation in the Philippines, overseeing the rest of the team, and ensuring all targets and KPIs are being met. On a day-to-day basis, Harley mainly handles ‘high-opps’ requests, which involves quotations from clients who have already secured (or won) the project for which they’re quoting. This requires an extremely efficient, accurate turnaround, relying mainly on availability of the goods quoted, either from our nursery or from one of our suppliers. Outside of Greenwood, she enjoys spending time with her 3 sons, from whom her sense of responsibility originated! She also spends her free time doing creative design and photography.

Genesis

On a regular day, Genesis is responsible for creating quotations and handling order entry. The latter part involves processing orders that suit our client’s requirements in a timely manner. This involves dealing with various requests, splitting orders, processing cancellations, tracking items required for orders, and so much more. Genesis regularly collaborates with the sales team, as well as the Client Service Managers, in order to ensure we’re delivering an effortless experience to our clients. Outside of his role at Greenwood, Genesis enjoys travelling, immersing himself in the beauty of different places, and exploring diverse cultures.

Together, the Philippines team provide vital support to our sales and operations departments, ensuring that Greenwood is best placed to deliver the highest levels of service to our clients.
